The highly anticipated dating show Love Island USA returned this summer with season 6 bringing new islanders full of personality, sex appeal, and an eagerness to find love while staying in a luxurious vacation villa on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, in Fiji. While the world anticipated getting to meet the new islanders on the screen, many of us were curious to see the show's newest host Ariana Madix take over for Sara Hyland.

This power move worked, Madix brought in record breaking viewership as she spent the previous year at the forefront of television gossip and attention after her relationship blew up in Season 10 of “Vanderpump Rules”.

The overwhelming support and attention led Ariana to appearing in multiple commercials and television appearances such as a contestant for Season 32 of “Dancing With The Stars” advancing all the way to the semi-finals before exiting the show with her dance partner, Pasha Pashkov.

Amongst many victories this ongoing year, Ariana landed her dream role debuting for Broadway in New York City performing as the central character in the musical “Chicago”, one of the most famous musicals set in the 1920’s about crime, corruption, and celebrity status. She tackled the role of Roxie Hart, which has been notoriously known as a character that's ambitious, calculated, and fiercely determined for fame…

Alongside her broadway debut this year, she also published her newest cocktail book titled, “Single AF Cocktails: Drinks For Bad B*tches” showing off her new profound empowerment as a single woman showcasing 60 high-drama perfectly crafted cocktails.

The week before setting off to Fiji to host Love Island USA, Ariana had her long awaited grand opening of her Sandwich shop, “Something About her,” alongside her business partner Katie Maloney in the heart of West Hollywood (640 N. Robertson Blvd. Wed-Sun 11AM-5PM). The launch attracted a notable crowd and extensive media coverage with photos and stories featured in entertainment news outlets and all over social media, and drawing an overwhelming amount of customers. The popularity and eagerness of dining at Something About Her is still in high demand as there is always a line outside their door three months after their grand opening!

Love Island USA season 6 had a steamy start, with the first episode introducing all of the new islanders from across the United States bringing in a vast group of personalities and backgrounds unlike the show has ever seen. These contestants are secluded from the world under constant video surveillance, and are only given a cell phone that allows them to connect with other islanders and receive notifications on the latest challenges and ceremonies. The ultimate goal for the Islanders is to remain coupled up and win audience favor until the very end. After all the islanders were introduced, the show welcomed Ariana Madix’s arrival as she pulled up in a convertible wearing a glamorous gold dress and heels that had fans across the country with their mouths dropped to the floor…

As season 6 continuously rolled out 6 episodes a week, Ariana’s appearances and islander drama unfolding on the show created more buzz, viewership, and fan voting than all previous seasons of Love Island USA. Her celebrity charm and reality tv expertise enhanced the show's public appeal and had record breaking fan engagement!

The finale of Love Island USA, where the final couples who survived elimination and navigated through the various twists and turns of the season came together for the final voting. Kordell and Serena were announced the winning couple and chose to split the $100,000 prize, wrapping up this summer's unpredictable and most talked about season yet!

After the finale, all the remaining islanders made their way home and all the contestants were finally able to see all the buzz soaring across the internet and finally sit down to watch what all went down on camera and see their summer unfold from an outsider’s perspective.

Nearly a month after the islanders made it back home, they reunited for a 1 episode reunion special  which gave the couples and single islanders a chance to rekindle and share their thoughts and feelings on the season, while reflecting on fun moments and challenges that made the season so special. 

While this unforgettable season may be over, it’s been announced that Ariana will be hosting season 7 of Love Island USA which will begin filming next summer. Meanwhile, there are rumors going around that this season's islanders built such an audience that fans are speculating there might be a spin off or special where these islanders will reunite on our TV’s again.
